Launches, L1 Certifications and Active Stability
27/06/2026
The team has had a busy few months of launches at Ulster Rocketry's Bishopscourt site.
Sguaba Tuinne, our active-stability project, flew twice more. The experimental canard system operated in flight, giving the team valuable data before attempting to use the system at supersonic speeds.
Members have also been launching the L1 rockets they designed and built themselves. The personal vehicles produced plenty of creative designs, and many members have now earned their Level 1 certifications, allowing them to move on to larger rockets and motors.
Thank you to Ulster Rocketry and Irish Rocketry for helping to make the launches possible. Next stop: Exotopic's Mach-26 competition.
